Audacity is a free software, that is easy to use, multi track audio editor and recorder for Linux and many other operating systems. The interface of is translated into many languages. User can use Audacity to record live audio.
Audacity is the very popular software, that is very easy to use for audio editing and recording. Audacity has various audio functions which are used for most projects.

In Audacity user can use all types of audio by adding effects like normalization, fading in and out, trimming. User can also use audacity to record and mix entire albums.
User can import sound files and edit them and also combine with other files. User can export their recordings in different file formats.
User can easily import and export WAV, AIFF, FLAC, AU and MP3 files.
In Audacity user can record live audio by using a microphone, mixer.
