Setting ABIOLA Monitor 18 “

no-255 au-01

Checking the correct setting

This article is only intended specifically for all users with the 18 “monitor from the 2021/2022 series. According to the manufacturer, this monitor is best operated with a resolution of 1366 x 768.

  1. Application menu
  2. Preferences
  3. Screen Configuration

1. Right click here
2. Click on Resolution
3. The optimal resolution is 1366 x 768. If this correct resolution is not displayed here, then it must be set in Config.txt

The frequency must be 60 Hz.

Enter data in “config.txt”

1. Open the terminal window
2. Enter the following

sudo nano /boot/config.txt

1. Here under “display size” it must be

framebuffer_width=1366
framebuffer_height=768

2. Enter under “HDMI mode”

hdmi_group=2
hdmi_mode=39

Then press the function key “F2” for save. Then confirm with “Y” and “Return”.

Restart the Raspberry

Restart your Raspberry now (reboot)

Now adjust the monitor correctly

Now go back to the “Screen Layout Editor” as described above.

1. Now select 1360 x 768
2. Then click on the green arrow

Don’t be surprised that the width must be set to 1366 in the config.txt and that it will later be displayed as 1360. This is not a problem.

The best thing to do is to check whether the correct resolution is now set (see above). See the gray point next to the resolution.
