Compressing

A compressed file is any file containing one or more files or directory that is smaller than their original file size. You can download faster and store more data.

Assume that you have 2 files and 2 folders on the desktop. To create a compressed file, please follow below steps:

1. Choose all files and right click
2. Click “Compress”

1. Rename your file
2. Choose the directory to save it
3. Select the “Archive type” (You can select zip type)
4. Click “Create”

You have a compressed file after above steps.

Decompressing

Decompress a compressed file to current directory.

1. Right click the compressed file
2. Click “Extract Here”

Your files will be extracted into current directory

Decompress a compressed file to specific directory:

1. Right click the compressed file
2. Select “Extract To…”

Now you can select your directory to extract this file.

1. Choose the directory
2. Click “Extract”
