exit

exit command closes your current terminal window. There two terminal windows are open below screenshot and one of them will be closed using exit command.

1) Terminal-1

2) Terminal-2

3) Run exit command on the Terminal-1 to close it.

exit

Terminal-1 will be closed but you can continue to work with Terminal-2

You can close your terminal by clicking x icon
