Description

Conky is a free system monitor program for Linux. Conky program is used to monitor system information like arch updates, CPU status, temperatures, disk storage, processes, network interfaces, system messages, battery status, swap space, and much more, then displays the information, a user can easily view and check this information on the desktop. Conky program also displays other things such as time, calendars and weather. Users get real-time system information on screen with the help of the Conky program. Conky is a lightweight program.

Information user can see:

• Frequency (in MHz)
• Frequency (in GHz)
• RAM usage
• SWAP usage
• CPU usage
• Disk storage

sudo apt-get install conky

Type “conky” in the command line and press “Enter” to run the program.

Uninstallation

sudo apt-get remove conky
