Show the contents of file

more command shows the contents fo the file and you can easily control the contents without using text editor. You need a text editor when you want to edit the file.

1) To show the contents of the file, use more command

more results.xt

2) Here is the contents of results.txt

Using enter button, you can move in the contents

Output the first 10 lines

head command shows the first 10 lines of file.

1) To show first 10 lines, use head command

head results.txt

2) Here is the first 10 lines of results.txt

Output the last 10 lines

tail command shows the first 10 lines of file.

1) To show last10 lines, use tail command

tail results.txt

2) Here is the last 10 lines of results.txt
