Description

Wammu is a free and open-source phone manager software. This application is used to manage data in mobile phones like contacts, calendars, or messages. Wammu is a powerful application, that has support of reading, deleting, copy and edit of contacts, calendars, and also reading, saving, backup, and sending SMS. Wammu application has complete support backup and also users can import in several formats such as vCard, vCalender, and gammu own backup. This software has a built-in library of Gammu (Gammu provides an abstraction layer for cell phones access) that work with different vendors of cell phones, like Motorola, Samsung, Huawei, etc. Wammu software has a simple and user-friendly interface that is easy to operate, and this tool is available for Linux.

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install wammu

Type “wammu” in the terminal to run the program

Uninstallation

sudo apt-get remove wammu
