The Superuser root

Superuser

The default user pi is a typical restricted user. The Superuser rights are needed for administrative work on Raspberry Pi system. You can use superuser rights with a preceding sudo in front of a command.

Example of Superuser

  1. You’ll get a failure message, when you run below command because it needs superuser rights.

apt-get updateHere is the Permission denied message

2. Here is the Permission denied message.
3. You must type sudo in front of the command

sudo apt-get update

WARNING
The root user is allowed to destroy everthing, even the complete system.
